Stories of the World is one of the major projects of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, led by Museum's Libraries and Archives Council (MLA) in partnership with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).
The project aims to galvanise museums, libraries and archives across the UK, inspiring them to revision their collections and exhibitions in 2011-12.
We were tasked with developing a clear articulation of the Stories of the World brand that celebrates the unique vision of the project, fits within MLA and LOCOG's branding guidelines and truly connects with the public.
The brand needed to engage people, so we developed an identity that centred on this. The map, iconic image and globe all point toward inspiration, innovation and renaissance.
We developed 14 films, produced photography and implemented the brand across printed communications. The brand also flourished online getting the project off to a flying start.
